Prizio Roofing & Siding Co., Inc. today announced it will be donating a new roof to A Better Chance of New Canaan (ABC House) in October. The ABC House has been a pillar in the town of New Canaan for 46 years and relies 100% on donations. Prizio Roofing is happy to support this wonderful organization and provide a new roof over their heads.
Prizio Roofing & Siding Co., Inc. has teamed up with ABC House as a way to give back to the New Canaan community that has brought them success for more than 50 years. Owner Jonathan Prizio had this to say, “We couldn’t be prouder to support the ABC House. This organization has had such a positive impact on the New Canaan community. Once we saw the roof was in disrepair, we jumped on the opportunity to donate a new roof to the students.”
Susan Donnelly, President of the ABC House of New Canaan, along with the other Board of Directors are extremely grateful to Jonathan Prizio for his incredibly generous gift. Donnelly said, “Jonathan came to fix a leak in the roof of our 100-plus year old home. He noticed that our entire roof was in need of replacement, and offered to donate a new roof to our home! Jonathan is a NCHS graduate (class of 2000), and was friends with some of the guys in the program back then, and also good friends with a host family. He believes in the program and the opportunities it opens up to each scholar. We are beyond excited he has offered us a new roof for our home. Thank you to Jonathan and everyone at Prizio Roofing!”
The owner of Prizio Roofing, Jonathan Prizio, grew up in New Canaan and is proud to team up with two other New Canaan High School alums – Lorenzo Colella of Joe’s Pizza and Mike Maloney of MDM Sanitation – to support this worthwhile organization. Joe’s Pizza will be donating pizzas to the ABC House scholars and MDM Sanitation is donating dumpster and sanitation services during the roofing project. “Donating a roof to the ABC House is a great way to support the local community and pay it forward to the wonderful town of New Canaan that we call home,” said owner Jonathan Prizio.
This is Prizio Roofing’s second charitable roof donation in recent years. Two years ago, they gave away a free roof and gutters to a local Stamford family who had fallen on hard times, and now the company’s back at it again with the roof donation the ABC House. Charitable giving has always been close to this company’s heart. In addition to their roof giveaways they think outside themselves throughout the year by supporting local organizations such as Inspirica, the Young Women’s League of New Canaan and the Fairfield County Food Bank.
