Several ABC scholars attended STEAMfest in Bristol, CT. on Saturday, October 24th. STEAM — an acronym for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics — is a “tremendously important focus” for both the Boys & Girls Club and ESPN, who co-hosted the day together, said Michael Suchopar, the club’s chief professional officer. The day was filled with over 40 exhibits for parents and children that ranged from robotic demonstrations and chemistry experiments to things like how to process various aspects of a crime scene.
