William Choi grew up in the Lower East Side of New York City and was a product of the NYC public education system until the 9^th grade.  Although he was admitted to a top specialized high school, he sought a greater challenge and chose the A Better Chance program in New Canaan.  The pursuit of growth led him to graduate with honors from New Canaan High School in 1998 and earn a full scholarship to Lehigh University, where he studied Finance.  His career began in investment banking and he is now a principal at a family office specializing in commercial real estate.

Over the years, William has held various positions on the Board of Directors at the New Canaan ABC where he has had the privilege of witnessing scholars grow, pursue their dreams and positively impact their own communities.  

Reflecting on his journey, William values the friendships, mentors and bonds through ABC, which he considers invaluable.  “Success is contagious; the work ethic and motivation these scholars embody will continue to inspire others.”
